Welcome to Central Illinois. The
Columbia Sheep Breeders of Illinois would
like to welcome the Columbia Sheep
Breeders of American and all interested in
this outstanding breed. The McLean County
Fair Grounds, also known as the Interstate
center gets its later name from the location.
Interstates 55, 39 and 74 interchange at
Bloomington-Normal along with access to
Route 66. We also have easy accessibility
with the Central Illinois Regional Airport
and Amtrak.
Directions
The fairgrounds are located on the west
side of Bloomington-Normal. I-55 and
I-74 run together around the west side of
Bloomington-Normal coming from the north
or south you will take Exit 160 towards
Pekin. US150, IL-9 and Market Street are
also at that exit.
Coming from the north you will turn right
(west) at the exit ramp light. In less than a
mile you will go to the first traffic light just
past TSC – Tractor Supply Company (on
the right). Turn right into the drive to the
grounds. Birkeys Case-IH dealer is right
beside the grounds.
Coming from the south you will turn left
(west) at the exit ramp light. In about a mile
you will go to the first traffic light past TSC –
Tractor Supply Company (on the right). Turn
right into the drive to the grounds. Birkeys
Case-IH dealer is right beside the grounds.
Campers need to check-in at the office
before parking. The camping fee is $15 per
night.
Near By
TSC (Tractor Supply), Farm and Fleet,
Wal-Mart, Steak’n Shake, Bob Evans,
McDonalds, Cracker Barrel.
What to Do and See
Central Illinois is an appealing
metropolitan area but still has strong rural
influences. Our baseball team the Corn
Belters play at the Corn Crib. We are the
home to insurance companies including
Country Financial and State Farm. There is
something for everyone to do the area.

Miller Park Zoo, Children’s
Discovery Museum, 2 Aquatic Centers,
Grady’s Family Fun Park, and more
Golfers:
Pro or just for fun – 9 locations
in and around Bloomington-Normal plus
an Arnold Palmer Signature Course and
Miniature Golf
Historians:
The David Davis Mansion
was a close friend to Abraham Lincoln,
Ewing Cultural center includes a castle and
hosts the Illinois Shakespeare Festival and
our Mclean County Museum is housed on our
old unique county court. The old Chanute Air
Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois is the home
of an excellent historical air force museum
in the old airport hangers and is well worth
the drive.
Shoppers:
There are two larger shopping
areas and many more though the cities.

performing arts theaters, comedy clubs,
wineries, paint ball, family fun park and our
Upper Limits Indoor Climbing Gym
Restaurants:
We have our favorites, but
there many great restaurants for all taste buds
and price range in and around Bloomington-
Normal.
