Genetic Trend Line for Berger’s Herdmaster
Genetics Compared to Breed Averages for the
Last 20 Years
As seed stock producers we want to give you all
the information we can about the genetic potential
of our bulls. We appreciate your business and
know you have other options. The American
Simmental Association gives us the ability to track
our genetic progress and measure it against the
progress of the breed as a whole. The genetic
trend line measured in EPDs shows that Berger’s
Herdmasters cattle are significantly higher in most
economical relevant traits. Our genetics are lower
than breed average in the trait of “Milk”, which we
believe is a good thing.
