Here is a pen of bulls that you will find just north of our Truck Loading Ramp. They are medium to
larger sized bulls with lots of eye appeal and outstanding genetics with several calving ease bulls.
Calving ease bulls are in high demand because of the value of a live calf. Some people will choose
to use Longhorns, Corrientes & Jersey’s to breed their heifers that should make calving easy, but
marketing much more difficult. They will sell well as roping calves and roping calves are high, but
not near as valuable as a high quality Angus feeder calf. We have been professionally and strategically been designing matings for decades to
provide the “SLEEP ALL NIGHT” calving ease you want while producing a tremendously more valuable calf that grows faster and has significantly
more quality - and therefore worth more money when you sell them. If you are needing high quality replacement females - these bulls can do
that too & produce a quality carcass. On the other hand, some people will decide to keep a bull they raised to use on heifers. It is good that he was
born unassisted and is sired by a calving ease sire. What we have discovered is that we are in the risk management business that can help insure
calving ease & high quality calves all in one. What is the difference in ours & those - An amazing amount. Our bulls have many generations of birth
weights taken, analyzed and selected for on both the sire & dam side of the pedigree. They are compared to about 300,000 calves each year in the
Angus breed to give you the most accurate genetic measurements (EPDs) and we DNA test them to give you the maximum accuracy available. We
see calving ease as managing risk and we are striving to do all we can to reduce your risk while simultaneously adding more value to those calves.
