24 years of training and experience with genetics as well as some cowboy common sense
to rate the bulls for the economically relevant traits of Calving Ease, Growth and Carcass. Each bull has earned a rating of 0 to 5 stars
with 5 stars being the best. Others have tried to copy our system, but beware - they do not compare because I don’t know anyone
that has a system that analyzes more information and has such strict standards to earn each star. For example, in my system if a
bull is less than breed average for growth or carcass, he doesn’t even get a single star and he has to be better than 90% of all other
bulls in the business to earn 5 stars. In addition, our system is comparable across breeds in this catalog. Notice that the majority of
all of our sale bulls are also DNA tested for maximum accuracy of there EPDs.
