On behalf of the sale consignors I would like to welcome you to the
2015 North Dakota Simmental Association Classic Sale! 2015 marks
the 44th Anniversary of the North Dakota Simmental Association, and
many of the consignors that are involved stem from families that have
been involved in it from the start.
Again this year, we are sharing the sale date and facility with the ND
Red Angus Association, as their Red Select Sale which will start at noon
and the ND Simmental Classic following right after. The two breeds
compliment each other very well and the consignors have been great to
work with!
This North Dakota Simmental Classic Sale has developed a reputation
as being a source of some of the top Simmental/SimAngus genetics
available in the land. The offering has been selected from the heart of
some of the top programs in the upper Midwest! The cowherds that this
offering has been selected from present some of the top bull sales in the
country each and every year!
I would also like to point out that each year while on the screening
trip for this sale a lot of the individuals that are selected for this sale
go back to or are out of females that were purchased in this sale - a
testimonial that these cattle will work!
There has never been a better time to be involved in the beef industry!
The cow numbers are at an all time low and we continue to see top
prices for feeder calves with commercial producers all over searching
for top end genetics to use in their programs to take advantage of the
times. As seedstock producers, you will find the offering in this sale
provides the source for those top end bulls and females that will assist
you in providing those genetics to your customers.
If you are looking for bred heifers to produce bulls for the commercial
and seedstock industry this offering has a lot of opportunities for you.
The open heifers in the offering have some outstanding show heifer
prospects for Juniors - there will be something to fit your needs and
will make tremendous cows as they develop. Keep in mind the great
opportunities for Juniors with the Futurity program.
Again this year’s sale will be broadcast on DVAuction for those of you
that may want to participate over the internet. Also we will be posting
updated photos and potentially video clips available on the North
Dakota Simmental Association website:
