Welcome to our first ever Mature Cow Dispersion Sale. We are
offering all our registered females born from 2007 through 2011 (4-
to-8 year olds). These females are the heart of our herd and you will
find many in the offering who have contributed to our success. We
started in the registered Angus business 26 years ago in 1989, with
the purchase of 14 cows from Sitz Angus Ranch in Montana. Over the
years we have also selected cattle from the very top end of several
herds, including Marcy’s, that produce the type and kind of cattle that
thrive here in eastern Wyoming. These cows served as our founda-
tion and the Emma E, Dutchess and Susie cow families are the result.
Our emphasis at M Diamond Angus has always been centered on the Angus female. It is our strong belief
that SHE is the main reason the Angus breed has become so popular with the commercial cattleman. We
have put a lot of selection pressure over the years on breeding females that will efficiently convert grass to
beef, that bring in a big calf and are bred back early year after year. These cows must be fertile, free of calving
problems, have great udders, a good disposition, be easy fleshing and possess the proper structure neces-
sary to travel the great distances that are required each day in order to thrive under our pasture conditions.
The service sires to these females are all owned by M Diamond. We have spent considerable time and ex-
pense searching for the bulls we require to move us forward.
We will have our 24th annual bull sale on Friday, March 25, 2016. Since the beginning we have partnered
with Dick Lisco of Lisco Angus. This has been a great partnership over the years as Dick and I have improved
our offering by focusing on the traits that matter most to our commercial customers. A large percentage of
our bulls sell within a 100 mile radius. We have been fortunate to establish friend and neighbor relationships
with many repeat customers who value our genetics.
We would like to thank the Marcys for allowing us to join them in this great event. Many years ago we
realized that George and Tom were great breeders with integrity and a very good eye for the “right” type and
kind of cattle that made their customers profitable. We have developed our herds with a similar breeding
philosophy and over the years used many of the same bloodlines.
Please feel free to give me a call or send an email with any questions you have about any of the cattle or
our program. We are very excited to share our genetics with you and look forward to seeing you all in Gordon
Nebraska on November 7.
