Congratulations to the American Angus Association Board of Directors who have been discuss-
ing at their meetings if they register these new and improved black angus bulls, while the Red Angus
Association continues their progressive leadership of registering and identifying the best Certified
Angus Genetics regardless of their color.

The Angus Association is developing a Stayability EPD. Unfortunately the Angus genetics are not
well described yet for Stayability in the Red Angus Herd Book, therefore we do not have Stayability
and Herd Builder numbers that accurately describe these animals yet. Hopefully it will be available
soon.
• All of these black red carriers can produce 100% 1A Red Angus offspring when bred to 100% 1A
cows. 50% of their offspring when bred to red cows should be red and 50% should be black.
• There are only 5 non-parent bulls in the entire Red Angus database that are -1.8 or lighter for BW
and at least 56 for Gridmaster, 129 for YW and .93 for Marbling or greater. Four of them are our black
reds in this sale and the only other one is out of two black parents that we raised. He was the highest
selling bull last year at $150,000, LSF MEW Platinum 5660C.
