are multi-trait selection indexes
provided to simplify genetic selection decisions.
$Value Indexes estimate performance of the average
future offspring of a sire compared to that of another
sire, within the same breed. Producers should still
scrutinize individual EPDs of desireable index sires
to be certain all EPD values are within an acceptable
range for their particular operation. Following is a list
of $Value Indexes that we provide in this catalog for
the various breeds.
