HRR Crowfoot X 5149 is sired by XO Crowfoot 0102X. He ended out of order in the sale
because he was parent verified to XO Crowfoot 0102X and it was too late to move him up.
Here is a solid performing calf with a nice profile and balance.

For the eighth year in a row, Home On The Range is
participating in the embryo transfer program. Home
On The Range has entered into a contract with Open
A Ranch (Jim Arthaud) and Heart River Genetics
(Annette Steffan). The staff and children bring in the
cows, implant the CIDRs (a progesterone impreg-
nated devise), inject a shot of GnRH (gonadotropin
hormone), remove the CIDRs and, finally, the
embryologist transfers the frozen embryo into the
cow’s uterus.
The children are a little apprehensive at first, never
really being around cattle and such a procedure, but
once they get comfortable and know what their job
is, they take responsibility. They put in ear tags and
even learn how to palpate the cow later to see if she
is pregnant.
It’s a great program for Home On The Range and
teaching children about cattle reproductions.
