We are proud to be involved in the livestock industry in North America and look forward
to what the future holds for the Angus breed. Our dedicated Genetic Advancement Team
travels countless miles and spends many hours looking for breed changing genetics to
enhance our program and yours. We are never satisfied with the status quo and believe
that change needs to happen on a daily basis. The 2016 Pursuit of Excellence bull
offering has many breed leading sires and matings to select from and we are proud of the
impact they will have on programs around North America. Our primary focus continues
to be the commercial cattleman and we are proud of the continued support we get from
leading commercial operations from both Canada and the USA.
The cattle business is now attracting youth back into the industry and we are excited to
think about what the future might hold. There has never been a time since the 1970’s
when it made more sense to have a balanced approach to farming and ranching. Our
grandfathers knew that agriculture operations benefited when they could include both
livestock and grain production. Future growth in the livestock sector will require farmers
and ranchers to understand the role quality plays in their operation. We want to be a
partner in your growth and success so we encourage you to contact one of our team to
ensure your bull purchases are aligned with your strategies and beliefs.
Thank you to the Jackson family for their hard work and expertise in our bull
development program. All of our two-year-old bulls come here at weaning and are
started on a grow ration through the winter and spring; then are developed on
range conditions in the summer; then finally are developed, not pushed, for optimal
performance and fleshing until sale day. They are fed in large pens and are culled many
times before sale day for structure, attitude, reproductive soundness, in addition to
performance. The yearling bulls are developed similarly.... they are not pushed for the
maximum, but for the optimum level of performance, function and longevity.
We are pleased to once again have Jackson Cattle Company: Levi, Carmen and Chance
Jackson of Sedley, SK and Mainstream Genetics: Chris Schmidt, of Watrous, SK as guest
consignors. Contact these Blairs.Ag associates for questions about their bulls in the
offering.
We are excited to offer a new Platinum Bull Warranty program for this year’s sale and we
