TERMS
All consignments must have an attractive new halter and lead rope, otherwise the sale committee
will supply one and charge the seller for the cost. Leather halters are requested but not required.
No horse will be allowed to leave the grounds without a checkout slip indicating full payment. All
horses must be removed from the barns by midnight Friday evening, the day of sale, unless other
arrangements are made with the sale committee. All sellers are responsible for their horses up until
the time that the gavel falls, after which the buyer is in full responsibility.
The sale committee of the NBS reserves the right to reject any horses for any reason including,
but not limited to: unsoundness, poor condition, and improper documentation of registration or
health papers.
PAYMENT
Horses must be paid before leaving auction grounds via cash, approved check, or any major
credit cards with a 5% premium. All online sales will incur a 5% premium.
COMMISSION
$300 per horse. No sale $150.
No substitutes for cataloged horses.
ATTENTION CONSIGNORS
Experienced handlers will be available to present your horses in the sale ring. This is optional.
Please let the office know at check in if you prefer to present your horses yourself.
A blanket will be provided for each foal upon arrival at the sale. This blanket is to go with the foal
when it is sold.
Consignors, the sale committee appreciates the fine horses you have trusted us to market and
the time and effort you have put in to prime them. As a token of our appreciation, we would
like to provide you with a color photo of each of your consignments. Please pick these up at the
photographer’s booth.
CANADIANS
There will not be a federal vet at the sale. However, if you purchase horses, they may be stalled at
Pleasant Ridge Equine for $10 a day until the necessary paperwork has been completed.
