When Cramer Schneider walked in the sale ring last year with Blaze of Glory,
Happy 6 Simmentals raised the bar high for presenting an outstanding herd
sire prospect at NAILE. On the heels of last year’s success, comes this year’s
edition-Cotton Gin. Raised in Nebraska in corn country at Sloup Simmentals
and brought to Wildcat country here in Kentucky, Cotton Gin is the result of two
programs who have both been able to be part of the remarkable Miley Cottontail
story. Cotton Gin joins the line of top quality AI quality sires produced by Miley
Cottontail: High Voltage, Gunslinger, Tail Gator, Soul Patch and High Cotton.
He is the result of combining the families of two of the most prolific donors in
the breed, Miley Cottontail and Silver Town’s Onyx. Stacking cow families takes
the guesswork out of producing superior genetics. From the moment Cotton
Gin arrived, he possessed all the tangibles for greatness. He is as sound as he
can be, moves like a cat, big footed, long sided, full of muscle and bone, with
the attractive looks of a top herd sire prospect. On top of all of this, he has a

I think everyone in the Simmental business knows the Steel My Heart donor
cow. This female as a young calf and up to a cow calf pair was exhibited by
Cramer Schneider and of course won many shows over the years. Many
breeders wanted to buy Steel My Heart however the Happy 6 bunch wanted to
retain her for their future so I purchased embryos out of the 2014 sale. Here
is a sharp made, stripe faced heifer with loads of potential. This is what most
breeders expect out of this cow. Queen of Hearts ties in two of the breeds
influential cows for an exciting prospect with loads of upside. If I didn’t have a
red full sister I would not let Queen of Hearts make the trip to Louisville. We
