Knaub Cattle Company (KCC)
Scott and Marcella Knaub along with their family
own and operate Knaub Cattle Company in Lodge
Grass, Montana. The Knaub ranch lies in one of the
most historic and productive cattle areas in the state
of Montana and the world. The Knaub’s have been
breeding Red Angus cattle for several years and were
one of the strongest supporters of the Midland Bull
Test for years, topping both the test and sale many
times. Evolving and looking to be part of a larger vi-
sion and program, Scott and Marcella joined our
performance group. The “KCC” cattle are not pam-
pered and are run in a traditional commercial cow
calf operation environment. These rugged hard
working cattle will “survive” and “thrive” in the
harshest environments. Scott and Marcella will be
an integral part of our operation as we move forward
in the next several years.
DRY Red Angus (DRY)
DRY Red Angus is owned and operated by the
Dwayne Anderson family close to Gillette,
Wyoming. The Anderson's have been in the
commercial Red Angus business for years but
made the move to step into the seed stock
arena a few years ago, acquiring top females
and herd sires. The Anderson's have become
an integral part of the LN Cattle Company nu-
cleus herd by becoming one of our embryo
transfer cooperating herds starting in 2015.
All of these seed stock cattle are run under
commercial cattle conditions and there is no
pampering on this operation. Look for the
Anderson's to produce some of the top herd
sire prospects in the next few years.
Pitchfork T Ranch (PTR)
The Pitchfork T Ranch is owned and operated
by Thayne and Missy Dutson near Sisters,
Oregon. The Dutson’s have been breeding
Red Angus cattle for many years and some of
the first seed stock that they purchased came
from our female sales in Iowa many years ago.
There is a tremendous LSF influence in the
Dutson herd and the pedigrees in this catalog
will show that. Thayne and Missy are some of
the most astute breeders of cattle that I have
ever been associated with and they commit a
great amount of time to researching herd sires
and planning their matings to produce some
of the best Red Angus genetics in the industry.
Double Eagle Ranch (DBL)
Dunn’s Double Eagle Ranch is owned and op-
erated by Doug, Betty and David Dunn near
Terrebonne, Oregon. The Dunn’s have been
breeding Red Angus cattle for a very long time
and this operation is one of the longest con-
tinuously running Red Angus breeders cur-
rently in the United States. We have had a
very long relationship with the Dunn’s and
have worked on and off with them for over 15
years. This herd has long been known for ma-
ternal high growth genetics with exceptional
carcass characteristics, the three drivers in
profitability in the beef industry. The Dunn’s
have established themselves as some of the
West’s best breeders of Red Angus cattle.
