Welcome to LeForce Herefords 2016 Production Sale
T
hank you to those who attended last year’s production sale and welcome to those who are looking at our
program for the first time. We have had an exceptional spring and summer, which has allowed the cattle
to thrive in good conditions. The bulls have been on pasture since weaning and have taken full advantage of
the green grass.
We know you take great care in selecting your future bulls and expect them to perform. Line One
breeding is our primary genetic building block and originates from the top Hereford herds in the United
States. Our herd sires are selected for fertility, soundness, growth and outstanding phenotype. Cow
selection is based on fertility, milk, growth, udder quality and above all, the quality of calf produced. When
this is combined with calving ease and carcass merit, the pathway to profitability for the commercial
cowman is drawn out.
We believe this commitment to herd quality and genetics will translate to all of our customers whether
they are looking to capture premiums on black baldies in the sale ring or working to sire top quality
replacement females.
Genomic enhanced EPDs on all sale bulls and heifers will provide you the most accurate performance
information available. This fall’s bull offering sits in the top tier for Hereford breed performance. The
overall average for our sale bulls rank in the following EPD percentile:
Top 10% for Maternal Milk
Top 15% for Birth Weight
Top 20% for Calving Ease, Milk & Growth and Scrotal Circumference
Top 25% for Milk & Growth
Top 35% for Marbling
The bulls are coming 2-year-olds and ready for heavy service. They will be fertility tested prior to the
sale. Videos on all the bulls and females selling can be viewed on our website or DVauction.com. If you
would like to be mailed a catalog, please contact us.
Please mark your calendar for Friday, November 18th to attend our 2016 Production Sale.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to seeing you on sale day.
