DEDICATED AND COMMITED TO SUCCESS!
A monumental event will occur Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Cordova, IL as Bill Werner, his family, and his crew close the final chapter
on the Werner Angus program. In the days preceding the sale, the land and equipment will all be sold and on Thursday, one of the Angus
breed’s top programs will come to an end. It will be a sad day as these leading genetics are dispersed. However, breeders and programs
throughout North America will have the opportunity to invest in the genetics that Bill Werner and his crew have developed over their time in the
Angus business.
Purebred cattlemen throughout the country will have the opportunity to study this offering and select genetics that fit their program. There
will be several females selling that have the proven, predictable genetics to make their way into any prominent ET program. With this many
quality cattle selling, I can assure you not all of the females selling with donor qualities have made their way to the Werner donor pen. In the
same breath, there will be several females selling that have proven themselves very well in the Werner donor pen. They will be highlighted
in this sale as will their progeny. Regardless if you have a spring or fall calving program, you will have the opportunity to select females from
both the spring and fall calving programs – a large number of each will be selling. For commercial cattlemen, all of the fall yearling bulls will be
selling. These bulls are deep in quality and backed by the proven high performance sires that you have come to appreciate at Werner Angus.
For those looking for a bull to use in the spring of 2018, every single spring born bull calf will be selling. These are the same bulls that would
be selling next spring in the Werner Angus bull sale, so you can buy with confidence that you can make your next herd bull selection from the
entire calf crop.
There will be multiple highlights included in this sale backed by the proven and prominent cow families that Werner Angus has propagat-
ed over the past several years. In particular, the Lady cow family has performed extremely well and we will be leading off this historic event with
one of those direct daughters, Werner Lady 0304, the proven Pathfinder Dam of the Select Sires AI sire, Werner Flat Top 4136. In addition to
many more females from the Lady family there will be several descendants from the Dixie Erica, Madame Pride and Lady Jaye families included
– all have had an impact at Werner Angus!
For all of us in the Angus business, Thursday, September 21, 2017 will be a day we will remember for years to come. Bill Werner, his family,
and his staff have become close personal friends of so many in the Angus business. There is no doubt the decision to disperse the entire cow
herd, the land, and equipment was a decision that Bill and Betty Werner did not make lightly. Their love for the Angus business and for the peo-
ple in this business has been unparalleled in recent times. I truly hope that many in the Angus family and community will be able to attend this
