Dear Friends,
We hope you can be with us on October 1st for what will be a day of fun and great
excitement. The Herefords in this sale represent some of the most predictable genetics to
sell in quite some time. Many of them stemming directly from P606, the maternal giant,
whose daughters have produced mainstream herd sires across the country. The young
cattle in this sale are possibly the best I have ever had the opportunity to work with. It’s
amazing how many outstanding donor and herd sire prospects are within this group. The
females are AI’d to the top bulls in the breed. The genetics they are carrying will be
valuable and just a whole lot of fun to see next spring.
I would like to thank Grady and Connie Sparks, and Ron Dugger for allowing us
the opportunity to acquire the Drummond Sparks Beef herd. First of all, they are all
wonderful, caring people that have done so much for our breed. They have been and
continue to be great role models, especially to our youth. Now, I don’t want to misstate or
say what their breeding plan was for their program, but whatever they did, it worked! You
will be amazed at how good these cattle are. You will have the opportunity to evaluate
and purchase them in their entirety.
The CMR cattle in this dispersal are, as always, beautifully uddered, maternal cattle that
breed back, have the look, and will perform in the pasture. 95% of the females selling
trace back to P606. The heifers nursing these cows are the best donor, show heifer and
breed changing females we have ever offered. The bred heifers are special and will be a
highlight.
