The Black Hereford Sale 2013
Welcome once again to Texas,
Consignors
D Bar T, J-B, Escondido Ranch, Rose Ridge Farms, Triple L Ranch, and this year new consignors, YJA
and Bobby Watson, put together a GREAT offering of Black Herefords.
Gathering a group of Black Herefords takes hours of hard work. Thanks to all who helped put this sale
together. There are many people behind the scenes that are never recognized but I hope you all know your
help is very much appreciated. Working together is what makes THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE a success.
With good genetics from our Hereford and Angus friends, we keep improving the quality of our Black
Herefords. We realize without Herefords and Angus there would be no Black Herefords. We offer a special
thanks to these good people, and bid you God speed in your cattle operations.
We believe our consignors improved quality, while maintaining docility, udders, maternal instinct, mar-
bling, tenderness, and black hide bringing more dollars pound.
Cattle offered in THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE will be guaranteed by each consignor, and sold with
health papers, ready to be moved to any state in the U.S.
Bulls will be fertility tested, bred cows and bred heifers will be confirmed safe with calf.
This selection of cattle for THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE will fit any cattle program wanting black hided
calves and replacements. They just don’t get any better than this!!!

Schedule of events follows:
March 8, 12 noon: Cattle will be ready for viewing at Diamond W Arena in Alvarado Texas.
Sale order, and futurity heifer judging will be performed by two long time cattlemen, Tom Granzow and
Art Handel.
Special thanks to these men for helping with this part of our sale.
5 PM: Grading of the bulls and sale order will be set.
7 PM: Brisket dinner will be served.
8 PM: Entertainers will perform. Just like last year there will be a fiddle in our band.
After a fun filled evening, retire to the Holiday Inn or Comfort Suites, both with discounts for guest of
THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE.
Saturday morning begin our day viewing cattle and visiting with friends.
10 AM: Futurity heifers from last year will be judged. Prize money will be awarded.
Following the judging of the 2012 futurity heifers, the 2013 futurity heifers will be judged and placed
in sale order.
11:00 AM: Lunch will be served.
12 Noon: THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE will begin. DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!
