Top of the line carcass genetics in this real complete granddaugh-
ter of 6019.
You will notice we are selling half revenue-sharing interest with full posses-
sion in several bulls. This means the bull is totally in your control as far as
how you want to handle him, and you get 100% of the salvage value of the
bull. Simply, we have the right to half the semen sales revenue from the bull
if sometime in the future, semen sales becomes a possibility. If you sell the
bull to another breeder, Sydenstricker Genetics retains that half interest.
On all bull calves that we are selling half interest and full possession, the
buyer has the option, on sale day, to pay one-third more than the bid price
in order to obtain two-thirds revenue-sharing interest and full possession.
Realistically, of course, very few bulls ever sell a great amount of semen.
The reason we are keeping interests in so many of the calves is that more
bulls are being “discovered” later in life, after they’ve proven themselves
in the breeding pen. Even bulls that sell into commercial herds may become
popular at a later time, especially because of carcass data on their calves.
If you purchase a half interest bull and wish to collect some semen on the
bull as an “insurance policy” for your own use, that semen is 100% yours,
unless Sydenstricker Genetics is in contact with you and also wishes to
collect the bull, either for within herd use, or to build a jointly-owned bank
of semen for sale purposes. If you are not interested in collecting semen on
the bull, Sydenstricker’s does have the right to collect the bull for their own
use, will pay the expenses involved, and will do so at the convenience of the
owner of the possession interest.
