General Information
Health:
All cattle will be accompanied with interstate health papers on
sale day. Sydenstricker Genetics maintains a Certified Brucellosis Free Herd
Number 322, and the cow herd is tested annually for Johne’s. All heifer
calves more than 120 days of age have been officially calfhood vaccinated
for Brucellosis. All fall-calving cows selling with calves at side are open. All
cows have been vaccinated with Spirovac VL-5 and Scourguard 3(k)/c, and
poured for grubs and lice. Calves have been vaccinated for IBR, BVD and
PI-3, BRSV, Haemophilus, Pasteurella and 7-way Blackleg; de-wormed, and
de-loused. Herd health is under the supervision of Dr. Don Hudson, DVM

Sale Location:
Sydenstricker Genetics is located one mile south of Mexico, Missouri on
Business Route 54. Mexico is 14 miles north of I-70 on Highway 54. Note: If
traveling from I-70, take the first Mexico exit to the farm. GPS Address: 3939

Insurance:
Livestock insurance will be available at the farm sale day.

Breeding Privilege:
All females sell with a breeding privilege (two straws of semen and any paper-
work necessary) to any living SydGen bull on which semen is available.
Embryo Guarantee:
Any female selling for $10,000 or more is guaranteed to produce at least
10
transferable embryos within four embryo flushes by an AETA certified
technician. If fewer than 10 embryos are produced, Sydenstricker Genetics
will reimburse the buyer up to one-half the purchase price, prorated to the
number less than 10 are produced. (Examples: (1) $10,000 cow produces no
transferable eggs; $5,000 will be reimbursed. (2) $10,000 cow produces six
transferable embryos; $2,000 will be reimbursed.) Guarantee is null and void
if cow dies.
Junior Programs:
Any registered Angus heifer purchased by a Missouri Junior Angus Association
member will be nominated for the Missouri Junior Jackpot Show. Any junior
wanting his animal nominated for the Jackpot show must notify us.
Any heifer from this sale is eligible for a 25% cash refund of the purchase
price if she is a class winner at the 2013 National Junior Heifer Show.
Transportation:
Private planes can land on the 5,500-foot runway at Mexico, Missouri (573)
581-0162,
which has a localizer approach for Runway 24. Commuter air
service is available to Columbia Regional Airport (573) 874-7508 on Delta
Airlines (800) 225-2525 and on Frontier Airlines (800) 432-1359. The farm
is located 103 miles from Lambert St. Louis International, 184 miles from
Kansas City International and 46 miles from Columbia Regional Airport.
Shuttle service on Mo-X is available from St. Louis or Kansas City to Kingdom
City (1-877-669-4826). We will pick you up from any location if you contact us
ahead of arrival date.
