• From competing in shows as a calf to becoming the backbone of our herd,
K006 has become our star. Erin named her Sugar very young, and she has
only become sweeter with age to our family. She is the dam of multiple Iowa
State Fair champions and highly competitive cattle at all of the National
Angus shows. Her daughters have been a crowd favorite as well as favorites
in the herds they went into.
• From the showring, to the pasture one of Sugar’s first daughters sired by
Lut, 8079, has only gotten better with age. 8079’s progeny have become
successful in the showring with a bull that sold in the 2013 NWSS Angus Bull
Sale. He was a crowd favorite just as his mother was. She gained multiple
titles as a show heifer, including Iowa State Fair Champion and multiple Top
5s in jackpot shows. She is a unique cow and we take pride in the power
she is built with and the femininity she possesses.
• 360 was a heifer that we sold in our 2009 sale to Brad and Juli Nelson &
Bruhn Farms Joint Venture for $9750. She is a K006xLut daughter who has
since been flushed many different ways including Meyer 734 which proved
its success with a NWSS 2011 Champion shown by the Udell Family. Since
then she has had many great calves no matter what the breeding. She has
produced over $125,000 in progeny, embryo & flush sales. Recently, she sold
in the 2012 Incredible Female Sale for $36,500. All her life, she has been a
crowd favorite and proven herself and this mating to have successful progeny.
• 0220 is another K006xLut daughter that was exhibited by Sydney Younge
of Ventura, IA. She had immediate success in the showring because of her
unique qualities. She was always a crowd favorite as well as a judge favorite

almost everywhere she went. She was named Division 7 Champion at the
2011 NJAS and was also named as an Iowa State Fair Champion that same
year. As a first calf heifer, she was shown and named Champion Cow/Calf at
many statewide events proving herself as a cow and not just a show heifer.
• R547 is a Cowboy Up heifer out of Sugar born in 2005. She had success
and was named 2006 Iowa State Fair Champion Open Angus Heifer. She
brought $20,000 in our 2006 sale and was shown by the Henderson Family
of Drakesville, IA. She has since been flushed and used in IVF to extend her
progeny making her a favorite of our cow family.
• Sugar Daddy is a K006xLut son that was born in 2010. He was one of the
first bull calves from this specific mating and we could not have been happier.
He was sold in our 2011 sale and brought $50,000 for half interest with 10
different companies having ownership. His first calf crop is proving themselves
well here at SLL as a stout set of cattle.
• K006 is truly the foundation female of the Steele Land & Livestock herd. You
will find her mother, sisters and herself in many pedigrees of the animals
