Dear Cattle Producers,
Welcome to our 2013 annual production sale. First, we would like to say THANK YOU to all
of our past customers that have instilled confidence in our program along with the interest we have
received from new producers. We are very humbled by the amount of repeat business we have received
throughout the years. We continue to move forward genetically improving our cow herd so that it will
ultimately create value for you, our customers.
Our program goal is to produce problem-free type cattle that will perform in practical conditions.
Our family has been involved in the registered Angus business for over 55 years. With the excitement
from the next generation, we are looking forward to the future. This year we will be offering 115
Jan-Feb 2012 yearling bulls along with 50 Mar-Apr 2011 two-year old bulls. This two-year-old bull
program is an addition to our sale this year. All of these bulls are naturally sired from our outstanding
herd bull battery. Our selection process was made simply by type and age. All of these bulls were born
after March 10. These are front-end bulls and have never been offered for sale. They were developed on a low-starch, high-fiber ration until
the first of May. We then moved them to grass for the summer until October 1. Then they were brought in and have been on a high-roughage
ration ever since. They have developed into growthy, stout, mature bulls. The yearling bulls have been handled as always. After weaning in early
September, they were placed on a high-roughage ration that expresses performance, but we kept in mind soundness, feet, and longevity. We are
excited for this sale offering because we feel we are becoming more and more consistent from top to bottom each year.
Videos of each bull selling can be viewed on our website and e-mail blasts will be sent prior to the sale. If you have interest in this, please
notify us, we can get the videos to you. We have decided to go further with this idea and sell the bulls in a video sale format. The bulls will be lot
numbered and penned next to the sale barn, but this year the bulls will not walk through a ring. Each bull’s video will show on large screen TVs
positioned around the sale block. If you have any questions about the video format, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
We encourage you to stop at your convenience and view our cattle. We would be happy to discuss how our program would complement
yours. We want to invite you all to the Colome American Legion for a steak supper and refreshments following the sale. Thank you for your
interest in our program.
Sincerely,
The Peterseks at Raven Angus
