an animal’s actual measurements in predicting an animal’s genetic ability.
On January 1st and July 1st of each year the entire data base of the American Hereford Association is updated
for producers. The mammoth computers take into consideration the relatives of each animal’s performance
information and do countless calculations when updating each animal in the database.
