Dear Cattlemen,
Welcome to the Pine View Angus 9th Annual Bull Sale beginning at 12 Noon (CST) on Saturday, March 9, 2013. As we have long
recognized, our business is only successful if we meet the demands of our customers, and we feel this offering accomplishes that goal.
Our program is focused on breeding cattle that suit the commercial industry and our bulls are bred, fed and developed with that goal in
mind. Please take some time to review the sale book. We believe in providing our customers with every piece of information you will need
to make a sound buying decision. If there is something that you would like to see that is not in this sale book, please feel free to call and
that information will be made available to you.
This offering is progressive, balanced and managed to meet your needs as a producer. Once again, there are multiple sets of full
and half brothers for you to evaluate. The ability to choose from multiple full or half siblings should help you produce calves that will be
consistent in many areas of performance and carcass merit. It will also add a level of uniformity to your replacement females, which will
benefit your program long term. As you look through the data, you will find that we have used every tool available to evaluate these bulls,
including EPDs, Pfizer 50K genomics, Angus Herd Improvement Records (AHIR), Sire Evaluation, ultrasound technology, and dominant
cow families. For your convenience, we have also freeze branded all of the bulls in the offering.
This offering includes several long yearlings as well as a solid set of fall born bulls. Both the yearlings and falls are bred with the
same genetic goal in mind; however, we do wish to point out that due to the differences in handling of the two age groups that ratios
within the contemporary group are a more accurate indicator of their performance than the actual raw weights and measures.
As always, we at Pine View stand behind our product 100%. All bulls selling for more than $2,500 will carry a season long breeding
guarantee, as long as the bull is managed under the guidelines set forth by the American Angus Association. We are offering a $100 credit
for every bull picked up within a week of the sale. Bulls can be housed free of charge until April 1st. Any bulls staying after April 1st will
be housed at a rate of $2 a day.
The bulls will be sold in an auction format beginning at Noon (CST) on March 9, 2013. All bulls will be available to view any time
prior to the sale, and we encourage you to stop by and get to know us, our program, and our bulls.
We look forward to serving your genetic needs.
Sincerely,
John and Tom Wessel
