Our Valued Cooperators
D CROSS GENETICS
is a family operation located in
northern Kansas (Washington County). Our seedstock and commer-
cial cow/calf herd consists of 350 Red Angus and SimAngus cows.
Years of strategic AI matings, embryo transfer, and careful sire
selection has resulted in satisfied customers of Red Angus bulls,
productive replacement females, and feeder calves. Sire selection is
based on producing quality females whose calves will perform well
on feed and in the packing plant and be a delicious eating experience
for consumers. You will notice our herd sires, Pelton %IMF 48S,
Pelton Good One 201S, and Pelton Warrior 20U all excel in mater-
nal, growth and carcass. We have been supplying quality Red Angus
genetics since 1998 and in 2006 were honored to place our cattle in
this prestigious sale. We have also used our cows as ET recipients
for Lyons Angus of Manhattan, KS, (1998-2002) and Peltons since 2003. Our experience and success with artificial
insemination prompted the founding of D Cross Feeders, a custom feeding and heifer development business. Our
farming operation utilizes both no-till and conventional till practices, producing corn, soybeans, milo, and wheat crops;
silage; alfalfa, brome, and grass hay.
DUEY CATTLE
is Bob and Sandy Duey of Scandia, Ks, Jennifer’s parents. Bob has been involved in
farming/ranching since he was a boy in the sandhills of Nebraska. In 2009, he purchased his first Red Angus, Peltons
Miss Kelly 737T. Her first two calves were popular in the 2011 and 2012 sales.
We are all thankful to be stewards of the land and cattle the Lord has blessed us with! We have the utmost respect for
the Pelton families and their cattle and are humbled to call them friends and market our cattle in this sale.
God Bless, The Durst Family
ANDERSON LAND AND CATTLE, INC.
is a family-
owned and operated cow-calf and no-till farming operation located
near Oberlin, KS. Artificial insemination has been used continually
for thirty years, using synchronization protocols on 50-60 heifers
and 200 mature cows each year. A purebred Simmental herd was
developed, beginning in 1978 with bulls and replacement heifers
being sold through state association sales, bull test stations and pri-
vate treaty. Red Angus breeding was introduced in the mid 1990’s,
adding hybrid vigor and improving carcass traits. Carcass data col-
lection is a top priority for us and using those results over the years,
we’ve been able to make breeding decisions that are producing nice
carcass premiums. Over 500 head of cattle have earned nine Red
Angus Grid Master awards in the last 3 years by grading 92%
Choice or higher, 70 % Yield Grade 1 and 2 with less than .5% Yield
Grade 4. Feeding at home through the entire process, we feel we get a good handle on, performance, feed efficiency and
herd health.
All around herd performance is very important to us, from the maternal side to terminal feedlot steers. Through total
herd analysis, we select bloodlines carefully to move us forward in our business. We enjoy raising quality cattle, and get
excited every year when a new calf crop hits the ground. We look forward to the future, as we continue to take advan-
tage of the technology that allows us to keep improving and building our herd. We consider it a privilege to work with
the Pelton’s, as one of their recipient herds, and their willingness to let us include offerings in their sale. We appreciate
their integrity and dedication to the cattle industry, and congratulate them on their many successful and worthy achieve-
ments.
Sincerely, The ALC crew
