We want to welcome you to the 14th Annual Morris Creek Angus and Simmental Production Sale and thank you for your interest.
Our 36 head of two year old bulls performed outstandingly again this year. We are also starting to integrate Fleckvieh Simmentals
into some of our genetics. There are 3 half Simmental and half Angus bulls, and 1 purebred Simmental. Look for those in the catalog, along
with the seven bred heifers that are half bloods also.
In February 2012, we made the journey to Groton, SD, to the Jack Walter family Angus dispersal. With their 60 years of breeding
experience, we decided that their program fit our moderate framed concept well, so we purchased 30 of the best of their Spring-calving cows.
Today we offer 12 yearling bulls of that crop. We normally don’t sell yearlings, but with a bigger crop of two year old bulls next year and the
birth dates of these Walter yearlings in March, we are offering these easy-calving bulls for heifers this year as Lots 201-212.
We also purchased cows from our veterinarian Dr. James Beaty DVM from Lakeview in Mitchell. We will be offering two yearlings
from this February calf crop out of the legendary Sitz Upward 307R. So look for those in the sale offering Lots 213 and 214.
We want to take these yearling bulls home and feed them for you till May 1st, semen test and freeze brand them. We will call and line
up delivery of them for you at that time.
Also look for the 70 bred heifers of which 40 come from the “Burton family”. With our buy-back program, you too can get involved
in this great opportunity for marketing your calf crop each year. Please talk to Steve or Mark.
Please come and enjoy lunch with us sale day, and if you can’t be there, look for us on DVAuction or call us to discuss your herd needs
and we will pick a bull for you.
