Commercial Bred Heifers & Bred Cows
Today we will be offering 40 bred heifers that came from our customers north of Wolsey, “the
Burton Family”. They have been a long time great customer of our 2-yr old bull and bred heifer
program for the past 12 years. Last spring we bought their exclusively Morris Creek genetics
heifer crop of 43 animals at Magness livestock, exposed them to MCA herd bulls on the river
bluffs of Hayes, SD, and got a 30-day conception rate of 90% and a 100% in 90-days. They will
start calving April 2.
Also, there are seven Morris Creek Angus Simm/Angus bred heifers today that sell. They were
pasture exposed to the same MCA herd bulls as the purebred and Burton heifers.
We will also be selling our 50 commercial angus solid mouth cows, most originating from Haines
Cattle Company. Pasture exposed to our Simmental herd bulls and RedAngus bull, they will start
calving on April 1st for 60 days.
