Selling at the “GENETRUST Sale” at Chimney
Rock Cattle Company, will be 100 very fancy bred
commercial Angus heifers. These heifers are sired by
sons of “In Focus” and “878”. Grady and his crew chose
to AI to the Brangus calving ease sire ”Newt of Brinks
302
P16”and cleaned up with calving ease Brangus bulls
owned by Draggin’ M Ranch from El Dorado, Arkansas.
AI date was June 6, 2012. Pasture exposure dates June10,
2012
thru August 8, 2012 cattle will start calving March 5,
2013
and be complete around May 10, 2013.
This set of females was raised on fescue pasture,
which enables them to be adapted to the Mid West, the
North, as well as the Southeast and Texas.
The resulting offspring from these matings will be
Ultrablack calves. The Ultrablack heifers resulting from
this mating will be in high demand as replacement heifers
and will be highly accepted from all areas of cow country.
We are seeing more and more commercial Angus
programs using “GENETRUST Brangus” bulls to increase
dressing percent, muscle, pounds at harvest, and retain
quality their calf crops, plus put a touch of ear back in
their cowherd.
CAvender’s Neches River Ranch
Cavender’s Neches River Ranch offers 75 very
fancy Brangus and Ultrablack type heifers. These heifers
were AI’d to “MC Onstar 924W4” and “LTD of Brinks

T28” to start calving February 15, 2013.
These heifers were cleaned up with
GENETRUST” calving ease bulls to be calved out around
the end of April 2013. Cavender’s, as you know, has
always offered some of the top commercial replacement
females sold each year. This set is no different. With the
effort Justin and his crew went through to synchronize
and AI this set of solid females you can be assured they
will work in your operation for years to come. The
resulting heifer calves from this group are eligible to
sell back through the “GENETRUST” program if the
purchaser desires. This set of females is weighing around
1000
lbs and are set to go into the fall.
Schmidt Farms
Schmidt Farms is offering 30 home raised Brangus
heifers. This fancy set of Brangus heifers are safe in calf to
GENETRUST” calving ease Brangus bulls, they are also
sire by “GENETRUST Brangus” bulls.
This is a very nice set of females that Randy and
Richard had intended to keep and put back in their herd.
They are the kind that are ready to calve spring of 2013
and have a solid future for the new owner. These heifers
should start calving around March 1, 2013.
The resulting heifer calves will again be eligible to
come back through the “GENETRUST” program to sell
in one of our sales. Approximate weight on this set of
females is around 1000 lbs. These heifers have plenty of
bone and all the characteristics of a solid set of Brangus
heifers.
