This lot also was used natural service in the Draggin’ M program this
summer and handled that duty as a yearling very adequately. As you
analyze his phenotype you will appreciate his length of body, thickness
of top, and thickness and depth of rear quarter, great disposition and
fluid easy movement. A son of the calving ease and maternal sire,
Next Step, he possesses outstanding growth numbers. He posted an
impressive adjusted 205 of 741 lbs to ratio 108 and improved upon that
at yearling with an adjusted 365 of 1332 lbs. to ratio 112, a testament
to his ability to convert feed to pounds. The ultrasound evaluation of
Heritage was equally dominating as he recorded an adjusted REA of
15.83
to ratio 104 and had a super impressive AIMF of 6.04 to ratio 124.
This lot ranks in the top 10% of the breed for YW, the top 15% for W
and the top 20% for milk and scrotal. The 894 cow family originated
in the Willow Springs herd and then on through the Brinks and Suhn
cowherds. His greatgranddam, Suhn’s Miss Cadence 894H, was a donor
cow at Suhn Cattle Co. before going on to Draggin M’ as a donor female
where she is still in production at 14+ years of age. His dam, a first calf
Affirmed daughter, did a tremendous job as a first
calf heifer. Your opportunity to purchase one of the
best, highest performing sons of Next Step to your
program and add a Heritage of high growth, excellent
maternal with proven high performing ancestry to
work for you.
Selling ½ interest and full possession.

A son of the legendary Csonka, this lot scores Extra Points as he
dominated his contemporaries with ratios of 111 at both weaning and
yearling. His AWW and AYW are 738 lbs. & 1329 lbs. respectively, while
posting a birth weight of 82 lbs. His breed leading growth ranks him in
the top 5% for YW and the top 10% for WW; plus, he ranks in the top
10%
of the breed for Milk. His dam has also done an outstanding job of
production as she has an AWWR of 117 and an AYWR of 115 on two
progeny. She is an ideal factory--moderate and weans 55% plus of her
body weight every year. Under extremely dry conditions this summer
this lot has been easy fleshing and does not require a lot of inputs to
maintain excellent body condition. This trait will be more economically
important in the future as we struggle to keep input costs at a level
that can insure profitability. You should note that this lot has a blemish
the size of tennis ball on his left front leg just below the knee. Our vet
has examined it with ultrasound. His opinion was
that it could be removed but should not affect his
ability to travel and service cows. Extra Point has
an outstanding disposition and is a thick topped,
moderate framed individual that has the power and
performance that bigger framed bulls wish they had.
