Dear Friends and Cattlemen:
Thank you for your interest in our 2013 Versatility+ Bull Sale and for your contin-
ued support of our program. We are excited to present these cattle to you as we
think this year’s crop of bulls is exceptional; our quality is better in every division.
We’ve been working hard to produce bulls like these and we think you will find
several that will help your program become more profitable.
Our goal has always been to breed and present the best quality cattle possible, re-
gardless of breed composition. We focus on disposition, structure, performance,
and eye appeal; we need them versatile and good or we cannot sell them. All of
the bulls selling here have met our standards for quality before being offered for
sale, and we believe each of them has their place in improving the next genera-
tion. We are excited to welcome to the Rathje family and the best of their Windy
Ridge Simmental herd to our 2013 lineup and we look forward to working with
them going forward. We’re still focused on quality over quantity but we’ve grown
to serve you better and we will continue to do whatever is required to further our
program and yours.
Our families live and love the cattle business and we know the values of great cat-
tle and great relationships. Because of this, we know we have to provide you with
great bulls each season and to service what we sell. We will continue to search
out and develop the best cattle we can and any assistance we can offer to our
seed stock customers is always just a phone call away. Call on us whenever we
can help, with these bulls or anything else. It’s a great time to be a cow/calf oper-
ator and we are excited to see where we go from here.
We’re excited to host you at our sales center outside Pierce, NE. The bulls may be
seen there any time prior to the auction, and we invite you to stop in early to pre-
view them. We’ll have internet and telephone bidding available if you cannot at-
tend the auction, but we surely hope you do however, because these bulls deserve
your attention and we want your business. Call anytime to learn more about the
bulls and to discuss ways that we can work together to improve both our outfits.
