Dear Angus Friends,
We look forward to seeing you for our annual fall sale. We are excited about our 38th Annual Profit Makers Sale
in our 62nd year of being in the Angus business.
This year the offering looks stronger than ever from top to bottom. The bull calves are sired by some of the
industries leading sires such as Southland Thriller 83X, SAV Potential 0205, Connealy Consensus 7229, Koupals
B & B Identity and Connealy Stimulous 667. The bred females have been AIed to Thriller 83X, Mogck Bullseye,
SAV Final Answer, CB Block Party and Barstow Cash.
As a young boy in school, I remember being told how someday the ag industry would be in a good position to
be very rewarding. Never before has the future of the industry looked more promising with record breaking
prices in grain and livestock. With cow herd numbers at a 50 year low, it looks like the beef industry should
be in excellent shape for now and sometime in the future. Now is the time to invest in genetics that can bring
you more added premiums than ever before. With the improved science and technology, it is possible to obtain
genetic improvement faster and over a shorter period of time. The operations that take the time to invest and
use these new ideas along with the old proven common sense thinking will reap the harvest.
As we look back over the last 63 years in the Angus business, we couldn’t have done this without the customers
and friends that we have made. We would like to thank each and every one who has taken the time out of their
busy schedules to come visit us and those who have purchased cattle from us in the past.
Let this be your personal invitation to join us on Saturday, November 3rd for our 38th annual Sale. You are
welcome anytime and if you have any questions or need help, please let us know.
Sincerely,
Cottonwood Angus Crew
BULL WINTERING PROGRAM
We will be offering wintering arrangements on bull calves purchased in this sale.
For $300 per head we will winter the bull calves until May 1, 2013. These bull
calves will be ultrasound scanned for carcass and are guaranteed breeders, but
because of their age they have not been semen tested yet. Bull calves left with
us for the winter will pass a complete breeding soundness evaluation including
a semen test prior to pick up. We suggest if you leave the bull calves with us to
winter you take out a mortality insurance policy which will be available sale day.
Please let the sale clerks know if you would like the insurance.
