In January 2004, Dave Allan selected 50 Charolais females from a total of 600, right off the famed
Hoodoo Ranch in Wyoming. To our knowledge, Dave Allan and Kris Black are the only two who have
been allowed to hand select through a large group of Hoodoo commercial Charolais females and pick the
ones they wanted. We recognize the success of these two astute cattlemen and what they have been able to
accomplish in this business.
Of the original 50 head selected, Dave sold 20 open females and kept what he considered to be the top
30
head. Today, 13 of those original females selected in 2004 remain at Bar A Cattle Company and are
available to you through this monumental dispersal, along with their progeny! The Hoodoo females that
remain at Bar A have more than paid their way, as they have produced many champions at all levels,
including major shows across Texas. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire females of this
stature…you can’t buy them just anywhere!
