Welcome to this year’s sale from Severance Red Angus.
It seems we are entering a new era of technology in the cattle industry. The Red
Angus Association has implemented a total new data base with the ability to
form multi breed EPD’s. They have also joined forces with Pfizer to incorporate
50K DNA information into their EPD calculations to increase their accuracy’s.
The advancements we have made will help us all in the selection of our breeding
stock, but let us remember the best and easiest way to gain information is
communication with your seed stock producer. I truly believe no one can give you
more information than the person raising those cattle, so please don’t hesitate to
call. We would be more than happy to visit with you and help you any way we
can with information to help in your selections.
