120 Yearling & Two-Year-Old Bulls
(January-February Yearlings & March Two-Year-Olds)
Herd Health:
We pasture weaned the bulls September
12
th
with J&R Feeds Beef Complete. The bulls were transi-
tioned over to a mixed ration of silage, ground hay, earlage
and J&R Feeds Starter Complete where we targeted a 3.25
lb/day gain. The bulls were slowly stepped up to a 42 mg cal.
ration which consisted of 12 lbs. earlage, 1 lb. distillers grain,
1 1/2 lb. J&R Feeds Starter Complete and 20 lbs. ground
hay and silage. We like to keep the bulls on a high rough-
age diet and grow them out to ensure sound feet, legs and
longevity of the bulls.
