We want to welcome you to our 39

annual production sale. We greatly appreciate your interest in our program
and appreciate the support of our past customers.
The bulls were weaned in early October and sent to Darr for their gain test. They are fed to gain about 3lbs/day
for 90-100 days. This year the average gain of the bulls was 3.3 lbs/day. We weigh and body condition score
our cows approximately a week after weaning. The cows then go to winter range until we bring them in for
calving around February 15. We continue to strive to produce efficient mother cows that have longevity in our
herd. We are proud of how our cows can winter on 2 lbs/day of a protein supplement (cake) and grass, and still
maintain their condition.
Hall-Pokorny Red Angus is a family operation. We, and our three boys, do all of the day to day work, which
makes calving and AI seasons busy times of the year. We also have to make time for football, basketball and
rodeos. We place a lot of emphasis on good dispositions and good udders as we need things to run as
smoothly as possible.
The bulls carry a first breeding season guarantee. We
have marked several as calving ease to use on heifers.
The bulls will sell in catalog order. We will not be
putting the bulls through the ring. They will be
displayed on video screens. The bulls will be there on
display on Wednesday afternoon and on sale day.
