Sired by SAV Brilliance, “4273” has the style to not only be a great project for a
junior member but also will turn into a front pasture cow. She has a great disposition
and was shown at the Iowa State Fair as well as the South Dakota State Fair.
Her dam “J273” is a moderate sized cow with lots of rib shape. She was selected as
a feature bred heifer in a past Hoover sale. Her grand dam is the mother of the leg-
endary Hoover Dam.
Her first calf by Basin Excitement was a $5000 feature of the Sioux Empire Farm
Show selected by Leaders Angus, Crofton, NE.

“G180” is a ¾ sister to Hoover Dam and was the $9000 high-selling bred
heifer in the 2010 Hoover Angus sale. She was later a Lot 1 feature and high
selling cow in the 2012 Stars of Montana sale.
Daughters of G180 are working at Marks Family Purebreds, IA; Askdahl
Angus, MN; Sioux Pass Angus & Stevenson Angus, MT and EZ Angus, CA
programs. She also has produced an $11,000 feature of the Bases Loaded Sale
in Denver as well as past National Western Foundation Female and NILE sales.
“G180 has the 6th top Docility EPD among current Angus dams with her
level of accuracy or higher.
Her dam, Lady Ida of Ellston D153 has brought 6 sons and daughters to auc-
tion averaging $10,250, three of which were photo features. D153 serves as a
working donor in the Hoover herd where she records 8-106 wean ratio and
has a 360 day calving interval that includes stealing flushes two different years.
A granddaughter of D153 was the lead off bred heifer in the 2015 Hoover sale.
A full sister to D153, C164, raised the top-selling bull to ever sell in the 87-year
history of Hoover Angus, Hoover Inspiration, selling toAlta Genetics for $56,000.
C164 also raised the top-selling bred heifer Hoovers have ever sold at $33,500.
These embryo matings combine breed leading genetics. RB Active Duty
semen is very scarce to find and sired some of the top herd bull prospects of
the last spring. Musgrave Big Sky first calves hit the ground this spring and
are being talked about from coast to coast.
