Total herd reporting is a great tool and Red Angus has been a leader in accurate data collection and analysis. As a result they are the
leaders in reproductive trait EPDs like Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability. They give us the tools to breed better cows.

There is more than just power in this pen - look at the maternal strength for fertility, longevity and lifetime productivity. Combine that
with the pay weight they produce and Wow - you can better understand why people like Red Angus sired females so much.
If you sell your calves by the pound - you will find it easy to like the pay weight this group
of bulls can produce for you. There will be lots of people looking for this group of bulls
because they are the highest growth bulls in the sale and because I ran out of room on the
south end of our pens and had to move them to the far north end in the middle of the black
bulls. More and more people continue to put Red Angus bulls on their black cows (including me). In fact over the past six years about
25% of our Red Angus bulls are bought for and used on black Angus cows. This pen may very well create some new converts. The
Superior Livestock Auction data validating that the Red Angus cattle are outselling their black cattle is great continual evidence that
buyers are now paying more for quality cattle regardless of their color. Try one of these, I think you will be glad you did.
