Oklahoma BEEF, Incorporated and the good folks at the Farmer’s
Cooperative Association in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, recognized the
important role that OBI plays in the cattle industry of Oklahoma as well as
surrounding states and stepped in to breathe new life into OBI. Together,
we are energized and eager to satisfy your bull buying needs.
Our partnership with Purina Mills has strengthened since our merger with
the Farmer’s Cooperative. Four years ago, we started a Purina Accuration
feed program; we have been extremely pleased with the results. The
average daily gains are very good, and the yearling weights are
outstanding. Ultrasound data indicates loin eyes have more intramuscular
fat and less outer fat than with previous feed rations.
New management has brought opportunities for new directions for OBI.
We are excited about our new bull and heifer development programs.
We can customize feed and breeding programs to meet individual needs
of producers. Please let us know if we can tailor a development program
for your operation.
We are very pleased to offer the highest quality set of bulls we have had
in some time at our fall sale. We feel like we have maximized the genetic
potential of the bulls that our producers have brought us through a
dynamic nutrition program. These bulls are ready to work in your herds
with no let down.
Also we are glad to welcome the OCA Fall Gathering to OBI. Together, we
can supply replacement cattle for everyone, bulls and heifers at the same
time.
