As was noted prior to the open heifers that we aren’t going to take the time
to write footnotes for every single lot when you can see the video and
pedigrees in front of you already. Kemen Farms Red Angus from Madison,
Minnesota, has brought a standout group of bred heifers again. They have
consigned heifers to our sale in the past. They have purchased great cattle
and built their herd around some of the top pedigrees in the industry.
Some of Kemen’s heifers were AI’d and then we turned our High Voltage
bull in with them for clean up, however he didn’t breed them for whatever
reason. At ultrasound time in early August a bunch of the heifers came
up open. We felt they were too good of a group of heifers to just cut their
heads off so we pulled our Performance 2772Z bull out of the cows and
put him in with the heifers. There are also some heifers that we purchased
that are in the sale as well because they are bred to calve after April 15th.
You get the chance to purchase heifers bred to a bull that we feel has been
doing a stand out job for us and our new Final Answer sire. The expected
calving dates and sire information will be listed below each lot.
