Dear Friends and Cattlemen,
It is with great pleasure to invite you to the 35th Annual Go-Pher the Purple sale. As everyone
knows, the cattle business has never been better! The demand for Hereford cattle is at an all-time
high. The great thing about this excitement is that we, as Hereford breeders, have made huge
strides to improve our breed and are now being recognized for our efforts.
I personally had the privilege of traveling around the state of Minnesota and viewing this
years sale offering and I want to commend the consignors on what I feel is one of the strongest
sets of cattle they have offered yet. There is a nice selection of herd bull prospects that would go
right to work for both the purebred and commercial cattlemen. There are some outstanding heifer
calves and exciting mating’s on the bred females.
Again this year you will be able to watch and bid on the sale offering on the Internet through
DV Auctions. Also, we have the Elite 8 sale that is held at the conclusion of the banquet Friday night
at the hotel. This sale features some exciting opportunities to select from some of the best genetics
that the Minnesota Hereford Breeders have to offer. The Elite 8 sale offering is located in the back of
the catalog.
If there are any lots in the Go-Pher the Purple sale or The Elite 8 sales that you are interested
