It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the Shenandoah’s Shining Stars Spring sale held in beautiful
Quicksburg, Virginia! Shenandoah Valley Simmentals, as you know is well established and respected program that
has deep roots within the Simmental breed, dating to 1976. Over 40 years of cow families have been established
to better serve the customer with strong and reliable genetics that positively enhance the bottom-line. Lisa has
diligently worked to improve the genetics of her program through careful genetic selection and knowing which
cow families have worked the best for her operation. There is no question that Shenandoah Valley Simmentals is
home to productive, performance-oriented, practical cattle that have been carefully selected for through detailed
management.
Extensive AI and Embryo Transfer technologies are intensely utilized to enhance and expand cow families of
economical impact and importance. This has allowed for numerous full sisters to be put back into the herd and flush
mate brothers to be offered for sale to improve the customer’s uniformity of calf crop. Additionally, Shenandoah Valley
Simmentals actively participates in the Total Herd Enrollment program. This is an exciting offering that comes directly
from the core of Shenandoah Valley Simmentals, consisting of females and bulls that come from the very best cow
families on the farm in Quicksburg!
The Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia is one of the most beautiful regions in all the land, as it stretches 200 miles
across the Blue Ridge and Allegheny mountains. Rich in traditions, this region has become a destination for many
who wish to experience the culture and history of our great country!
