Welcome to the 35th Annual Great Meadows Angus Association Spring Sale. The 2017 Spring Sale will be
the largest sale offering to date in a GMAA sponsored sale. In addition, the 79 bulls selling represent the
second largest Angus bull offering in the state of Kentucky this spring. These 79 bulls have cutting-edge
genetics, many of which rank in the very top percentages of the breed. Bulls will sell that meet the criteria of
highly selective purebred breeders, commercial cattlemen who demand calving ease and high growth as
well as the black hide on the outside and the superior Angus carcass traits on the inside.
A feature of the female division will be the 35 open heifers that includes the number 1 ranking non-parent
daughter of Traction in the breed for WW, YW, MILK and $B, and she also records a RE of 1.14. The female
offering has 25 pairs and 18 bred females, several of which will calve by sale day.
Please come early on Friday evening to preview this quality offering and for a time of good food and fellow-
ship. You may also preview the cattle during the morning hours on sale day and then enjoy a nice lunch of
Angus thick burgers furnished by sale host Tom McGinnis’ Heritage Farm and prepared by Shelby County
