Welcome
to the ranch for our 12th annual production
sale. Our industry is unique; one in which we have gained lifelong
friendships and working relationships with fellow breeders and
customers alike through the work we do. We appreciate all interest
in this year’s sale and invite you to consider our offering found in
this catalog as well as videos and i nformation found on our website:
. You are welcome to call at any time
and visit the ranch – we love talking cattle!
While hosting the sale at our ranch has always been a goal, the
decision was forced this year with the closing of Linton Livestock. We
are forgoing an 11-year partnership and want to thank the staff for
their support and dedication to our previous sales. We’ve undergone
a whirlwind of logistics to prepare for this year’s sale and hope you
enjoy your time with us. We’re thrilled to be welcoming back Tracy
Harl as our auctioneer. Tracy brings a knowledge for the business
and an integrity not commonly matched.
This year’s offering is more uniform than ever and despite the
weather, they have what we feel is respectable performance. We
continually hear past customers say our bulls hold up well during
and after breeding season and the females make excellent mothers.
We strive to produce functional cattle which work in our herd and,
more importantly, in yours!
As always, we are offering free feeding until after semen tested is
completed in April. We offer free delivering within a 200-mile radius
and will work with you in the event the bulls have further to go. If
you can’t wait to get your new bull home, we will give you a $50
discount/bull for any hauled to their new home on sale day. Because
females will be due to calve shortly after the sale, we would appreci-
ate if the heifers went home on sale day or if prior arrangements are
made for a timely pick up.
One more change this year is our video-only sale. No cattle will be
brought through a ring. We realize some prefer a traditional way
to sell cattle, however, we lack the labor and proper facility needed;
instead we were prompted to find a better way. The advantage is no
cattle will be moving during the sale, so you are free to view them
as long as you like. They will be right out the door on sale day if you
need a second look. We hope you will give this method a try; video
sales have worked well for others, and more and more sales will be
conducted this way in the future.
Once again, thank you for your interest. We look forward to visiting
with you about our offering. See you at the ranch on Feb. 14!
