Volume discounts will be offered as follows:
5% discount on purchase of 5 or more bulls; 10% discount on
purchases of 10 or more bulls.
FREE Wintering & Delivery
Because of the earlier sale date, Krebs Ranch will keep your
bull until the end of March. Free delivery on bulls to central
points in Nebraska and adjoining states, beginning March 25
through April 5th. All other deliveries are at cost.
Sight Unseen Purchase Guarantee
Feel confident to use our sight unseen purchase guarantee. We
guarantee the bulls will be as described and to your liking, or
you don‘t own them.
First Breeding Season Guarantee
All bulls selling for $3,500 or more are guaranteed for the first
breeding season. A breeding season is defined as the 90-day
period following the first turnout of the bull. If a replacement
bull is available, he will be provided or if the buyer prefers,
credit toward one bull will be given in the following sale, less
salvage value of the injured bull. A veterinarian must diagnose
all injured bulls. Please notify us as soon as possible should
injury occur and prior to the injured bull being sold for salvage.
ALL CLAIMS MUST BE MADE BY SEPTEMBER 1, 2016.
Semen Collection Offered
Any bull selling for $10,000 or more will receive a $250
certificate of credit toward semen collection, at Western Sire
Services, courtesy of Krebs Ranch. Delivery of bulls remaining
at WSS after April 5th will be the responsibility of the buyer.

As this letter is being written, we’ve just returned home from the 2016 National Western Stock Show, which proved to be one of the most successful ever
for Krebs Ranch Genetics. Barstow Cash and Joe Canada were the talk of the show among many astute breeders, with Cash siring the Grand Champion
Bull and Joe Canada siring the Spring Calf Champion in the Sale Bull Competition on the Hill. In the Yards, Krebs Genetics sired three of the first five class
winning “Pens of 3”. And, at the end of it all, we were awarded the Reserve Grand Champion Pen of 3 honors. These, along with our very popular Carload
of Bulls, will sell!
Outcross bloodlines and genetic diversity are priorities that we place heavy emphasis on at Krebs Ranch. But, take a minute and ask yourself - do
you really understand how valuable and important outcross genetics are to your program? Let’s look at some myths and facts on this subject.
Myth:
As long as you are using “good” bulls, diversifying your genetics doesn’t matter.
Fact:
By stacking the same genetics, year after year, you dilute the potency and effectiveness of the most important performance traits driving your
bottom line. Think of it this way - we’ve all been told not to put our savings in the same place. Instead, we should diversify, right? The same principle is
true when breeding cattle. Using outcross sires in your cowherd diversifies your bloodlines while keeping your genetics up-to-date with the most current
and cutting-edge genetics available. Not giving diversity the proper attention it deserves will show up in key areas (such as a loss in growth performance,
maternal performance, and fertility) resulting in reduced pounds at weaning, more open cows, and other unintended consequences. What unexpected
changes have you experienced? Could this be the reason?
Myth
: When I need outcross genetics, I can simply buy bulls in a different bull sale.
Fact:
Switching bull sales doesn’t mean you are switching genetics. In reality, a large number of breeders are using a very small handful of the exact same
AI sires, causing many bull sales to offer the exact same genetics. Fact is, of the thousands of bulls selling this spring, you will only find a few sales with
genetics different than those you are already using or that are different from the genetics in the next bull sale down the road. Our sale is different. Each and
every year, we offer true outcross genetics that will deliver the diversity and variety you need to maximize growth performance and maternal efficiency.
Myth:
It’s too complicated to keep track of the genetics in my operation. I don’t have time.
Fact:
Krebs Ranch keeps a record of exactly which genetics you have purchased from us in the past. We can provide this information to you at any time
and can recommend the best crosses for your genetics, based on the information we have collected using the same crosses in our very own cowherd. We
