The fall sale season is off and running with many sales each weekend. DP Sales along with the
Buckeyes Finest sale want to invite each of you to be at the Buckeyes Finest, October 4th in Belle Center,
Ohio. The Buckeyes Finest is held at the Rolling Hills sale facility and is a great place for the sale and
all the events around the sale. The sale has been a success with last year’s cattle selling to ten different
states. With the success of the past sales and the great offering of this year’s sale hopefully you as a past
customer or a new one can check out the strong genetics available.
Study the catalog as you will find there is something for everyone. The sale host, Rolling Hills has a
strong set of genetics and then you add the numbers and exceptional offering of John Ferguson and his
crew is exceptional with show prospects, donors and breds. Chippewa Valley again brings a strong set
of Angus cows some which are bred to Angus and many are bred to have a Sim Angus calf. Many have
been sexed carrying heifer calves as well. To round out the offering is breeders such as the families
of Cliff Linder, Bob Ruffling and Mark Isler bringing their best as well. In speaking for the group of
breeders they all are committed to the Simmental breed and are offering the best and stand behind
their product 100%.
This year the Ohio Simmental Association is hosting a Simmental field day on Friday with special
speakers, doors prizes, a meal and other activities. Please watch the Ohio Simmental website for
additional details or contact Dan Dickson, Bob Hoovler or anyone involved in the sale. It doesn’t matter
whether you are a commercial breeder, Angus breeder or just wanting to learn about the advantage of
Simmental genetics you are welcome and invited to attend the all activities.

catalog. The catalog is loaded with information however I would encourage you to visit with each
consignor on their lots and breeding program. We hope you can be in attendance however if cannot be
at the sale please utilize DV Auctions. It is a great time to be in the cattle business and in the Simmental

It is with great pleasure that Rolling Hills Farms and the Buckeye’s Finest Sale group personally invite you
and your family to the 5th annual Buckeye’s Finest Sale. Whether you are a past customer, neighbor, friend,
or prospective customer, we are glad you are here. We want to thank Ferguson Show Cattle, Erv-N-Del Farm,
Chippewa Valley Angus Farm, Ruffing Family Farm, and Lor-Mar Simmental Farms for their offering of great
genetics.
As you will probably notice, we are not consigning as many lots to our sale as usual. We sold several bred
heifers and cows last winter due to family illness. A special thank you to all fellow breeders and friends for all their
prayers and concerns this past year. We would like to thank the Muir family, Terry, Candace and Ali, for all their
help through out the year.
New this year we are offering a JUNIOR INCENTIVE PROGRAM. Each junior will receive $100 off of the
purchase of an open heifer the day of sale, provided it is registered in their name sale day.
Our sale group has tried to use breed-leading sires that are practical, proven and profitable. We work to have
moderate birth weights and above-average weaning and yearling weights. We expect our cattle to be easy-fleshing
and sound with great dispositions. Our constant goal is to produce cattle that will work in a variety of operations,
whether that is purebred or commercial. We are committed to the same goals of producing high quality cattle
through the use of the top genetics available without sacrificing soundness, performance and efficiency.
We can never emphasize enough the importance of our past customers, as well as the opportunity to welcome
new customers to our program. We sincerely appreciate your time, consideration and support because without you
none of this would be possible. We wish to publicly thank you for your friendship and business and putting your
faith in us. A special thank you to our daughter, Marcia for the countless hours she has spent getting all the paper
and information ready for the catalog along with working with all the cattle. We are truly thankful and appreciate all
